Windows and Window Furniture

Windows are the opening in the walls of our house to the outside world. It is a passageway of the sun to give light inside our home. It is one of the most important part of our house. Without it, a house will be looked incomplete and imperfect.

Casement Window

Casement window and sash window are some of the many types of windows. They are both unique in style and elegant in looks.

Casement windows are most common house window before the sash window was introduced. This are usually hinged at the side, and opened inward and covered with exterior shutters to open outward. While the sash windows refer to windows where the glazed panels are opened by sliding vertically or horizontally in a style known as sliding sash. This was commonly found in Georgian and Victorian houses.

Windows will not be complete without window furniture. Casement window fastener made of brass and solid cast iron, chrome and cast iron casement window stay, and locking window stay pivot are necessary furniture for casement windows.

However, the necessary window furniture for sash windows are brass and chrome sash lift, sash window pulley, sash window fastener, sash fastener lock, sash handle, and sash window rope.

Nowadays, because of an increase demand of house construction and repair, many companies offer high quality but affordable window frame and window furnitures. The Internet as a helpful tool is a good start to find such items. It need not to be costly but should be guaranteed high quality and durability.
